Bios for Directors & Friends

  Denise Chávez is the Executive Director of the Border Book Festival and the Cultural Center de Mesilla.  She is currently working on a novel, The King and Queen of Comezón.
  Daniel Zolinsky is a professional photographer who was born in France.  He is the official BBF photographer.
  Dr. Claude Fouillade is a Professor of French and Cinema at New Mexico State University.
  Laura Robles is a Math teacher at Gadsden Middle School.  She is the official BBF “cake-ista.”  Her works of art have inspired us all.
  Jorge Robles is a poet, organizer, translator and chef.  He recently graduated from New Mexico State University in Spanish.
  Kenny Arroyos is owner of KW Sound and Lighting.  A festival friend for many years, he is a true professional in every sense of the word.
  John Randall is a book dealer who lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He continues to inspire the festival and has offered various successful workshops on the Care and Evaluation of Out of Print Books.
  Patricia "Camila" Minjárez has been a teacher for over 20 years. A talented artist, she often declares that she is merely "a reader" of books.
